God created sex! Sex itself isn't a sin. What makes it a sin is when we do it outside of marriage. In this article, we want to show you what the Bible says about sex before marriage.
God intended sex to be done between a married couple, only. The Bible says, “From the beginning of creation, God ‘made them male and female’” (Genesis 1:27, Mark 10:6-8 ESV). It later states, “‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’” (Mark 10:6-8, Genesis 2:24).
A study was done and found that a man's oxytocin level increase when he has sex with another person. Or, a husband brain reconnects with his wife. But as time goes by and culture gets more distant from God, many of believers have adopted the worldview of what sex is. Many believers believe that sex before marriage isn't a sin because nowhere in the Bible says "you should not have sex before marriage", even when you think you'll marry that person.
In the Old Testament, sex before marriage was strictly condemned in Judaism and continues to be until today. The same goes for the early Church and Christians as this was the culture that Jesus was raised in. The Bible implies in various verses that sex outside of marriage is against God's divine design.

The principle in this passage states that God made sex for the married couple to enjoy. When Paul wrote this letter, he was trying to tell the Corinthian Christians that it was wrong to just hire the services of a prostitute for self pleasure. Refer to Enduring Word for more detailed explanation.

In Revelations 14:4, we understand that it when the Bible says "These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins", it's talking about unmarried Christian men that decide to remain faithful with Christ by not having unmarried sex. When go back a little in the Bible to Hebrews 13:4, it also lists sex outside wedding as immoral.

Great news! Jesus still forgives! It's a matter of you going before Him in prayer and truly asking for forgiveness. But when we ask for forgiveness, we must mean it. When Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery in John 8, He said "Go and sin no more".
Repent and sin no more.
